Welcome to Rozenburg! The year is 2625, and the world has gone crazy. Where once there were beautiful rain-forests there is now wasteland. Where there were great fields of green there is now desert. Rozenburg is one such desert. Once a bustling harbor town, it has evolved into one of the most scientific towns in the world. Rozenburg forms a ring with several other towns near it, and they are often referred to as the beacon of hope.
Rozenburg is not a tourist attraction. Its rocky beaches that are near impossible to swim usually fend others away. The rough waters only pummel those who try to swim. The only fools who try to go out in the waters anymore are the fishermen. The city is surrounded by majestic cliffs that protect it from the desert it resides in. The people think its not safe in the desert.
Think being the key word.
In the desert a multitude of government-funded labs have started up. No one knows the horrors that lay behind the laser fences as it is carefully hidden from the public eye. Dread, fear, pain, and confusion awaits the unlucky subjects who end up on the other side.
Welcome to Rozenburg Hell

Hello, and welcome to our little role-play site. We are very glad you made it here. Whether it was through a search engine, a post, or mindless wandering we do hope you stay a bit and maybe join us? This is what I like to call a lab role-play. It's similar to the classic "teens injected with animal DNA" but it's much more then that. It's truly anything you can imagine. If you can think of a way it can be done, then it can happen. This is not fantasy. That means you don't get a shot and magically grow a tail and ears. No, no, no, it's more based in science then that. It's not just about gene therapy, but series of other things. We do try to keep it literate, but if you’re new to role-playing we'll help you out to get you there ;3
-enjoy!

This is just a listing of all the diseases and such at your disposal. Almost all of them are made up and only exist in this game.
Gualcima: Gualcima effects the communication between the brain and the eyes. It was supposed to cause the connection to run better and cause eye sight to increase, but it backfired. It often causes blindness in its victims with brief periods of time when it does work and the victim’s eyesight is better than the average humans. These periods of time are short, less than an hour, and then return the victim back to blindness. It might be advanced upon latter.
iRNA: iRNA is something that exsits today in our time. If you want to know more about it and how it works, I suggest you google it. iRNA is basicly inserting a strand of DNA, like the set of DNA that makes your hair color, to cancel out that same strand. So if you had a purple flower that you wanted to be white you'd insert the strand of gene's that cause the coloring and it would turn white
hm, yes. A lot of these haven't been asked before, but we'd prefer they didn't. So to answer your un-asked questions we created an F.A.Q. Also because we needed something to go here and this was all we could come up with
What kind of species limitations are there? none. No don't get all excited there. There are exceptions. Everything has to make sense. Being part dragon does not make sense, in this realm at lest. But if you wanted to be say, part unicorn, take a mix of narwhale and horse. Mermaid? Fish. Anything can be done here. You just need the imagination. For example. Say I wanted to create a vampire. This is not a vampire form, so how am I going to do this? Well, the fangs could be a defense thing. Maybe there's a reflex created when frightened that causes the "fangs" to come out. The blood could have to do with digestive and healing. Maybe they use blood to heal so they need to drink it or they die. And since they use blood for healing, aka cellular regeneration, there's immortality for you. Get the general idea? Almost anything can happen here. It most certainly does not need to be 100% true, I don't think blood and cellular regeneration are linked but it made more sense than "oh, he's a vampire"
Is romance aloud?
Yes but no. Use your head. If it seems like that sorta relationship would form at that time go for it. But being tortured does not equal love.
Can more than one person have the same powers/mutation/genes?
Not with DNA. They can have similar animals though. This may change in the future if we get so many people there's no idea's left. I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. Check the Character section to check if something is taken. Everything else is fair game, just try not to be too too repetitive.
Pregnacy?
In the labs no, in the city it's okay. However, the kid is not alway going to be a freak. If you have cow horns threw surgery and say, cat reflexes from gene therapy then the kid ain't getting cow horns. The cat reflexes might transfer. Learn a bit about genetics, DNA, and a punnett square if you really want more info on this.
Rejected awww, no acceptence for you. Don't worry, we'll tell you what's wrong and as soon as you fix it you'll be moved.

Main Room A large circular white-washed room that connects all part of the labs, this is where you first come to get registered and a cage assinment.

Testing Room This is where the scientists run tests on the subjects to see if the operations were sucessful or failed.

Operating Room This is where major surgery accours. Simple injections are done on in the main room or in the cages.

Waiting Cage This is where all the subjects who have been recently subjected to expermintation ride out the worst symptoms untill they're ready to go back to their cages.

the Cages This is where the vast majority of the action happens. There is a long white hallway containing a row of twenty cages. Each cage is reinfourced with a sheet of high frequincy lasers. This makes it near possible to escape.
